Hi! I’m Miranda this is the story of how my family became complete at a circle K gas station in Montgomery, Alabama! It all began on April 22, 2021 when I started having contractions very sporadically throughout my day. My OBGYN appointment had been that morning and at the time had no changes. I was only dilated about 2 centimeters and with a due date of 4/26/21 I knew we were getting close but there was no reason to think that birth was imminent. The next day my contractions were more painful and closer together so I went to the hospital around 5:30pm that night and around 9:00pm they had determined it was still not time for me to give birth and scheduled me for an induction on the 27th, just four days away. As soon as I got home from the hospital I got as comfortable as I could with contractions hitting me like a freight train. After several hours, around midnight, I got up to walk a really bad contraction off and went to use the restroom and my water…well, it exploded everywhere! I was so panicked I just screamed for help. My sister-in-law ran out to get my boyfriend and her mom. As soon as they arrived we got in the car and started heading to the hospital. I kept yelling about how something didn’t feel right and was very painful. I told my boyfriend “you have to look!”. Sure enough baby was hanging out about eyes length facing up! My adoptive “mom” immediately called 911 to report a birth in progress. She pulled the car over at the Circle-K on HWY 231 and within one push I birthed my sweet baby au-naturale! It was a miracle. Baby Liliana was born on April 24, 2021 and we just celebrated her first birthday. ♡

I can’t imagine having such a quick birth!
