Family Session
I'm not limiting your session to a time constraint because I am there to serve you until we get every image you are hoping for..
With that being said, typically sessions last around 60 minutes for me. If you have a child with special needs or attention struggles, I will go slower and meet them at their level. But I really try to be as efficient as possible.
My goal is to earn your trust, if that means spending more time playing with your 2 year old so they feel comfortable, that's exactly what I'll do.
The Studio Wardrobe
What should I wear?

I am absolutely available to do in-home sessions upon request.
I always give some advice beforehand that in-home sessions aren't for everyone. They can be so special and a delightful addition to your family memories.
But if you've fallen in love with what you see on my website, that can only be replicated in my studio. Your in-home images will be lovely, but they will look very different than what you see here.
There are also a lot of limitations to the light in many houses, so I like to get a tour before we decide on that route!
in-home sessions aren't for everyone
You can add on hair + makeup services to your session and let me handle the details. I'll coordinate everything. Your artists will show up to your home (or the studio) and get to work.
While you get your hair + makeup done, I'll start photographing your sweet babe, making this the easiest and most pampered photography session you'll ever experience.
If you'd rather handle it yourself:
I have a complete style guide I can send you that will help with knowing what to do with your hair and makeup. I also have hair and makeup artists I can recommend to you if you'd like to hire that out.

do you offer hair + makeup?
A perfect way to spoil yourself is to get your hair and make-up done professionally.
It also removes the stress of getting ready when you are probably already nervous before your session.
But the most important thing is that you feel comfortable. If that is letting your hair down, you should come to the session with your hair just down.
This is important for the rest of your family as well.
Please ensure that they have been at the hairdresser a couple of days before and that daddy's beard is groomed.
But also here, feeling comfortable is key.

How long is a session?
Both studio and outdoor sessions are available, and both are beautiful in entirely different ways. My studio near Papillion offers consistent, gorgeous natural light and full access to the client wardrobe. Outdoor sessions bring in a seasonal, airy quality and a sense of place that many families love. We’ll discuss which setting best fits your vision, your family’s energy, and the season during your consultation call.
Do you offer outdoor family photography sessions in Omaha?
Honestly, every age is the right age, and that’s exactly the point. A session when your youngest is a newborn looks completely different from one when they’re four, or eight, or heading off to college. Each stage deserves its own portrait. That said, some of my favorite sessions happen between ages two and six, when personalities are fully formed and completely unpredictable in the best possible way. Whenever you book, it will always feel like the exact right time in hindsight.
